瑞幸一个月烧9000万,光靠补贴能培养用户喝咖啡的习惯吗?
12月12日,瑞幸咖啡完成B轮2亿美金的融资,市值达到22亿美金,离OfO的估值30亿美元已经很接近了。但紧接着,瑞幸就被爆出今年前9个月净亏损8.57亿元的消息。
瑞幸官方称,可以肯定的是,瑞幸全年的亏损会远大于8.57亿元这个数字。通过补贴迅速占领市场是瑞幸既定战略,亏损符合瑞幸预期。
作为出道不久的新兴咖啡品牌,瑞幸迅猛扩张的速度,铺天盖地的营销模式与小黄车相似,它是否能比肩大佬星巴克C位出道,还是像OFO一样“烧钱”过后一地鸡毛,成为未来资本市场十分瞩目的一个焦点。
复盘瑞幸,甚至有些地方还赶不上OfO。无论是滴滴、美团和OFO都是解决了人们出行或者饮食方面的一些痛点,这也是滴滴和美团能脱颖而出的重要基础。OfO的问题在于在资本的催熟下步子卖的过大,但管理又跟不上,单车破损率高,杀鸡取卵,重视营销却失去了最重要的用户的信任,最后一手好牌打的稀烂。从千万人排队退款可以看出,共享单车并不完全是泡沫,这么大规模的用户量,本身就是一种证明。
反观瑞幸咖啡,中国人有多少是真正的有咖啡需求的? 星巴克虽然在中国风生水起,但他卖的不完全是咖啡,更多的是一种文化和休闲。至少笔者去星巴克,更多的时候是谈事情,顺便点一杯咖啡,而并不是为了喝咖啡专门跑去星巴克。我相信在中国,像我这样的人不在少数。
也就是说,真正有咖啡需求的人,不一定看的上瑞幸。而没有咖啡需求的人,看在优惠打折的份上,也许偶尔会选择瑞幸,但是这种选择又有多少忠诚度可言呢?
我乐见中国品牌挑战国际巨头的地位,但通过营销的模式类培育市场,在前面已经有韩国的“咖啡陪你”这个失败的案例了,只不过这次瑞幸又加上了“补贴用户”和“外卖”这两个营销策略,但遗憾的是,咖啡不像出行和三餐外卖一样,是每天的刚需,而且咖啡这种东西也不是靠烧钱能培养出需求的。
