长尾理论:教你获得互联网时代红利
作为一位生活中互联网时代的人,我们真真切切地感受到互联网带给我们的便利,但是很多人却没有发觉互联网带给我们的红利在哪里。
那么我们今天就来讲讲互联网经济学中很重要的一个理论:长尾理论。教你如何在互联网时代拿到属于自己独有的时代红利。
我们简单的说明一下什么是长尾理论。
先贴一段百度百科中的解释,不想看各种术语的可以跳过:
长尾理论是网络时代兴起的一种新理论,由于成本和效率的因素,当商品储存、流通、展示的场地和渠道足够宽广,商品生产成本急剧下降以至于个人都可以进行生产,并且商品的销售成本急剧降低时,几乎任何以前看似需求极低的产品,只要有卖,都会有人买。这些需求和销量不高的产品所占据的共同市场份额,可以和主流产品的市场份额相当,甚至更大。
紧接着,我们用“人话”来解释一下。
举例子最容易理解,比如说,我想买一本2002年出版的几米漫画《向左走向右转》,我转遍整个城市的书店可能也不会找到,但是我只要会网购,就一定可以买到;
我想给家里的一对老音响换一个喇叭,音响店早已经不卖这款音响了,连配件也不在销售了,但是我只要会网购,就一定能买到。
实体的店面如果陈列所有的商品,那么成本谁也承受不来,也是不可能的事情,传统商业只会卖某一类中销量最好的前20%的商品,就是恐龙头部的位置。互联网陈列商品的边际成本几乎为零(不懂可阅读我上一篇关于边际成本的文章),就可以将所有的商品全部陈列出来,我们可以挑选其中很冷门的商品,也就是恐龙长长的尾巴。
小众市场的需求和产品占据的共同市场份额可能比主流商品的市场份额还要大,这就是所谓的长尾理论。受长尾理论的影响,高兴趣化、高个性化、高定制化的商品的需求被商家逐渐挖掘,消费者的选择也日益丰富。
长尾理论讲完了,普通人如何利用长尾理论获得互联网时代的红利呢?
在传统的观念里,所谓的“人才”好像标准都差不多,我们的父母或者爷爷奶奶可能可以说出来一大套关于什么是人才的标准,而这样的前20%的“人才”就像是长尾理论的头部。作为在长长尾巴上的我们普通人,我们首先要认识自己与他人的不同点,不管自己的特点有多冷门,在互联网时代都可以被“陈列”出来,就会有无数的机会来到我们面前,并且,你越独一无二越无可替代。这就是实实在在的红利。
