前沿|石墨烯电池:下一个“吓人的技术”?谁又在“吃螃蟹”?
显示,目前全球有将近20亿人在使用智能手机,中国就拥有6.2亿智能手机用户。我们的出行、支付、生活等都因智能手机产生了重要变革,也再难离开智能手机。

而在生物识别、语音交互、拍照等技术不断升级应用,赋予智能手机更多科技感,提升用户体验的同时,智能手机却不得不面临电池续航偏短的问题。当然,这也是目前智能手机在用户体验方面遇到的最大瓶颈。
石墨烯成电池技术突破关键
锂电池最早于1991年商用,之后成为电子设备的标配,但是锂电池技术或许已经达到极限,很难实现突破。而在不增加电池体积与重量前提下,新材料、新技术成为一众手机厂商探索的方向。
石墨烯因其高导电性、高导热性、高比表面积、高强度和刚度等诸多优良特性,在储能、光电器件、化学催化等诸多领域获得了广泛的应用,成为目前高性能电池突破的关键性材料。
来自赛迪顾问的专家表示,目前石墨烯在锂电池方面的研究方向主要有两个。一是在传统锂电池上进行应用,目的是改进、提升锂电池的性能,这类电池不会产生颠覆性的影响。二是依据石墨烯制造一个新体系的电池,它是一个崭新系列的,在性能上是颠覆性的,可以将其称为“超级电池”。
手机厂商欲吃“螃蟹”
那么谁将成为第一个吃“螃蟹”的厂商呢?据悉,在2016年华为就实现了石墨烯电池技术的突破,推出业界首个高温长寿命石墨烯锂离子电池。实验结果显示,以石墨烯为基础的新型耐高温技术可以将锂离子电池上限使用温度提高10℃,使用寿命是普通锂离子电池的2倍。
值得注意的是,经过两年的发展,华为已经在石墨烯电池技术上做出了进一步突破,并可能在下一代的旗舰手机上搭载石墨烯电池。
在荣耀Note10发布会上,赵明在讲到荣耀Note10的无线超清投屏的时候,屏幕出现了一些关于Magic2很“重要”的消息,其中就包括“石墨烯技术新突破”的字样。同时,从供应链的消息来看,华为即将在2018年底推出一款50W的快充,而这款50W的快充很可能就是为革命性的石墨烯电池做标配。
除了华为,三星也在积极研究石墨烯电池技术。2017年底,三星电子旗下研发部门成功合成了一种“石墨烯球”,可以用于延长锂电池的续航时间,并加快其充电速度。
三星高等技术研究所(SAIT)表示,石墨烯球材料可以让电池容量增加45%,充电速度可以加快5倍。如果现有锂电池需要1小时才能全部充满,那么采用这项新技术后,便可缩短到12分钟。
尽管石墨烯被认为是未来电池领域最具潜力的材料之一,但也有业内人士提及,石墨烯表面特性受化学状态影响巨大,批次稳定性、循环寿命等问题也比较突出。因为可量产性和成本问题,石墨烯电池要想在短期内彻底取代锂电池恐怕还有很长的路要走。
